GILAS at FIND.

Over this past weekend, I had the fortunate opportunity to combine new with the old. Jesse had requested that our current project for GILAS be represented at FIND weekend, our old stomping grounds.

As a delegate, you come in expecting different things than what you expect coming in as a vendor or outside organization representative. This past weekend made it very clear that FIND has been working since its' inception in 1992 and that you take what you can away from the weekend.

We've garnered a lot of PR and attention thanks to our efforts for GILAS, as well as make key contacts with kindred souls in the movement of Filipino-American culture and issues into the mainstream. (Shouts to FiRE, Ethnikroots.com and Manila Gorilla, among others.)

Watch out, there is an army out there ready to raise awareness, instigate change and school the ignorant.
