What else is there to say to say about work? I really thought I was getting into a good groove until there were quite a few personnel changes and a constant revolving door of staff by the beginning of the summer. With the open spots, I was able to pick up more of my own markets...switched it up to Junior status and was getting my head bitten off everyday. Living to work is no way to exist. I was living vicariously through other people while the were moving on the bigger and better things and I was left with more responsibility and not being fully recognized for it. A thankless job, but somebody has to do it.
This caused me to light the fire under my ass and finally take the GMAT after a summer of hibernation. Starting all of that led to more moves to look for a much more fulfilling position at a bigger agency. A mix of frustration and satisfaction.
In the offtime from work, I was able to provide the balance to all that stress by actin' a fool. Happy hours, roadtrips to Philly and DC, FIND in Buffalo, summer in California, my 24th in Montreal/NYC, b r e a t h e. rehearsals/gigs, performing at the Philippine Independence Day Parade on Madison Ave...after all the things I do during the week, I'm too tired to even complain about the stress. It all works out! And in the end, I ended up with a new piercing, a new tattoo and some great new friends.
Story behind the pic: The Montreal Trip. It was a good 24th.
