Merry Christmas folks!

FESTIVUS has descended on us once again! Just kiddin'!

Ah, nothing beats Christmas time here in the city. The lights and windows on 5th Avenue down to the holiday craziness in SoHo; it's always a new experience every single year. This year, after being incredibly busy, the holiday spirit didn't bite me down until the very last minute.

Merry Christmas! Be good to each other and be good to yourselves!

And just for Nit; here's to screaming this song at the top of your lungs in the confines of your car. According to her it's "the BEST Mariah Carey song EVER!".

Valentine shmalentine.

No, I'm not bitter. Not in the very least. I actually had a nice Valentine's Day. A day the card companies shoved down our throats to increase levels of spending after the holiday rush. No really, I had a great time.

I took my date to the one and only upscale Filipino restaurant in SoHo, Cendrillon, for their pre fixe Valentine menu. Total Filipino fusion cuisine that is really worth the price. Quail adobo, crabmeat in heirloom rice, kalamansi cheesecake...total insanity but absolutely fulfilling. The meal was top-notch.

My date wasn't too shabby herself. She, being a California girl, is not used to the NYC arctic chill of late. Who knew it was going to snow all day on Valentine's? She quickly got over the novelty of snow when she set foot on the brown slush of the sidewalks and jumping over pools of the stuff from the middle of the avenue onto the sidewalk, where more often than not, you will bust your ass. The night had it all...great food, San Miguel, good company, San Miguel, endless conversation, San Miguel...I guess I lucked out this year.

My only complaint...dating in New York Fuckin' City is mad, mad, mad expensive.

Last Minute.

It's about 6:30am on a Saturday morning and I'm up and dressed to hit the mall and battle the NJ soccer moms for parking. The last weekend before the big holiday is going to be crazy. I haven't started on my list but I do plan on finishing it up by 5pm today.
