A few weeks ago I had dinner with my good friend Michele. Aside from the usual catching up, we went into how everyone was connected. In a group of Filipinos you are bound to find a long lost cousin. Take our example:
Michele and I became friends in college.
Michele's mother is a dentist and treated Lats back in the day. (WHO IN NEW YORK DOES NOT KNOW THIS GUY?!)
Michele now goes to NYU Dental School with Ashley.
Ashley is our friend Christine's cousin from California.
Ashley's boyfriend is Brian.
Brian went to high school in California with Danica.
Danica and I met randomly at Lats' birthday party in 2007.
That's just the tip of the iceberg. It's funny how folks seemingly unrelated to eachother are connected. Just thinking aloud.
