After all is said and done, how would you like to be remembered...as a Filipino, a Filipino-American or as individual?
My favorite answer was from Lando, one of the co-founders of Mecca, the streetwear brand. He said that "it's great to be remembered as any or all of those things, but I'd rather be remembered as a leader."
I really would not know how to answer that question without creating a dissertation as to how I define myself and what my future plans are. I don't see myself compromising my dreams. More often than not, I always pictured myself taking a big risk and seeing it through my way, mistakes, missteps and all. It all goes back to my personal motto, "stay hungry, stay foolish".
To be remembered as someone who was a catalyst for change is one goal. I strive to set an example and tap into the passions of the people around me so that we can combine all that energy to push further in order to meet our goals. I want to bring different issues of education in third world countries to the forefront. I want to inspire individuals to use their tools and abilities to their maximum level in order to instigate change and effect worldwide public policies. I could go on forever, but I want it all.
The next few months will be my chance to take that big risk.
