The worst part is over...

Four months of working on my GMAT came to an end on Saturday as I finally took the exam. Well, I wouldn't say it's the "end"...I'm going to be re-taking it in December. Not only to raise my score on the quantitative section but it's what I have been planning all along...given that I didn't receive the score I aimed for the first time at bat.

The first section was the essay portion of the exam. They know to tire you out before you get to the meat of the whole thing. I felt that both of my essays were above par and came out effortlessly through my fingers as I typed on the keyboard. After the essay section was the entire quantitative section in which I was thrown into flashbacks of mathematics and number rules. However, being away from all that kind of thinking for a number of years kind of just numbed my brain. I flew through the verbal section with flying colors so I now know my strength lies in my words.

At least I've finally gotten over the hard part.
