LJ, me, Judith and Vince at Mixx this past weekend.49 Grove last Friday night turned out to be a bust. I got there early (for once) so I can score some open bar...but that was a big fat lie. LJ and Vince showed up but were forced to wait in line when there were about 25 angry people who also showed up for open bar. The guys were then told they needed to buy bottle to gain entry. No shit. I told them to sit tight because the birthday girl, Carla, was about to show up. Damn people wouldn't even let the birthday girl in without buying a bottle herself. Pure whackness.
The good thing was we found another place right down the block. You know I'll be ripping 49 Grove a new one on the new nycontap.com *plug*!
Mixx was dope. Good music, drunk people and lotsa dancing. I got to take my little sis out for her birthday before I leave on vacation this week. She even introduced LJ and Vince to some of her girls that she brought with her. The Mary Louis Academy girls. Yes, that all-girls Catholic high school. Now if she only brought her sorority sisters then it would have been over.

Judith - Happy 22nd! It's been a big year for you so far and you're probably going to be outpartying me during the year I graduated, remember how crazy I got that summer? You're on your way to med school in the fall and I couldn't be any more proud...and a little relieved because you're the only one out of all us youngn's to fulfill the dreams of all the parents/titos/titas/ninangs/ninongs at last! The pressure is off the rest of us in the family!! Ha! Oh, and we're going to have to talk about this tequila habit of yours...
