"Di ko kaya yung kanta na yon!"

Puro lasingan sa fam jam nung araw nito.

I must say...I've never been to a family party where absolutely everybody was drunk out of their minds. It started out as a standard wedding anniversary bbq at my cousins house. We've had plenty of those over the years so this wasn't different at all. Then comes the Tito who suggests..."Mag-toast tayo!".

Oy. Fundador...yes, Fundador, was pouring left and right and before you know it...there are three empty bottles of those on the table. Let's not forget the ladies...finishing not one...but three bottles of sangria. I knew it was over when we had to make multiple runs to the store down the block to get 24 packs of Corona.

The most unforgettable memory tonight....my dad's version of Jackson 5's "I'll Be There", complete with Mariah-esque ad libs and runs. A song well after his time.

We celebrated milestones this weekend...wedding anniversaries, graduations, birthdays, promotions (ahem)...good causes and excuses to just let it loose and get crazy. As usual, I belted out my signature "Bakit Ngayon Ka Lang" and a special version of "My Girl", in which I was asked if I wanted to join a band. Me, a band?

Music, family and laughs...can't get any better than that.
