Crikey.

I passed up a chance to eat some kangaroo at an Australian restaurant for Maricel's 24th birthday for a chance to perform with b r e a t h e. down at Atlantic city. They say it tastes like ultra tender beef. I'd imagine it would taste like the Kobe beef I had for my birthday last year.

I spent more time in my car on Saturday than any place I had planned to go that day. Three hours to get down there for a 7 minute performance and three hours to get back in they city by 11pm to make guestlist at LQ in midtown. Projected arrival time, 11:30 pm...actual arrival time, 2 am Sunday morning. The important thing was I was able to make it to Maricel's birthday jam, even if some of the crew had already left.

I missed all this at dinner!
Maricel, Bev and Victoria show us what they're workin' with.

Nit and me. Better we showed up later than never. Naturally, we busted out a routine.
You know it's over when I bite my lip.

That night marked the exact date that I graduated from college two years ago. As we left LQ, we realized that we were all fresh outta school and full of hope and promise of the future. Two years later we're complaining about our jobs and thinking of going back to school to get various masters degrees and looking for new jobs, haha!

This week, my younger sister graduates from college and will officially be on her way to med school in the fall. My advice for her...."do what you love". Find your passion, stick to it and your hard work will pay off. Simple and cliche but hey, it's what I live by.

Alright. NYC on Tap, Inc. has been through some things but check out our newly designed mag, which is set to relaunch this summer.

a few things...
1. that's some good ass advice: "do what you love"...find your passion, stick to it and your hard work will pay off. very significant especially since im graduating next month too. don't wonder why im graduating just now and we're bascially the same age. it's a whole different slice of bread here in terms of the academic system (OAC; grade 13...wtf is grade 13? im wondering myself). i aint no dumbass j, really! and hopefully, i find my niche after travelling -- wouldn't wanna do the wrong thing with this sacred degree. lol

2. looks like you throw down with the ladies in the club too. is it just me, or do filipinos have the best moves? i've seen the viet dudes and the chinese dudes...they just don't cut the mustard. at the same time, i've had their gfs and their gfs' friends come rock it with us. lol it's the latin vibes, you know this mannnnn!

3. are you or did you cop a mac computer? doit. itll save your life. and that mac store on 5th ave. 24hrs -- that's off the fucking meatrack, son!

4. gluck on the nycontap jawn. im here in t.o. but i can imagine the hardwork it takes to put something like that together. i look forward to checking out the mag and if ever in nyc, i shall use it as my guide.

5. peace
