Summatime, well almost.

Time to sit back and unwind.

Okay, so no less than two weeks ago that I was busting out my scarf and gloves around the city. This Easter weekend is going to hit about 80 degrees and I got my shorts and flip-flops ready. I got a fresh cut, nice shape-up, used a razor, mohawk in full effect...Brendan hooked me up.

It's the time of year I start sitting out by the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) and girl-watch. There's nothing sexier than a girl who's got her stuff together during the warmer months. Sunglasses, nice glowing aura, fresh smile and some skin...but not too much 'cus I like them classy. There's just something about FIT girls that get me all revved up... Maybe it's because they keep up on their style and can keep up with mine. (Who else would wear a mohawk and Newspaper Dunks with a suit in a corporate enviro?)

Last summer was not so much of a bummer...but it was my first summer totally indoors. When I was a kid, I was running around in the fire hydrant fountain found in almost every hood. In high school, I started lifeguarding and teaching swimming which kept my funds intact every summer through college and my tan deep brown. I was upset that my office job...kept me in the office. My advice...stay in school forevaar!

Anyhow...I've got to stay up on getting back into shape. If I'm going to get back into the water this year speedos and all, the extra poundage has got to go. I'm planning on training for the NYC Triathlon, in which I used to lifeguard for the swimming part of the race (*1 rescue in three years, phew!) Then theres the surfing club out in Coney Island/Brighton Beach where I never even knew there were waves. Or even just chillin' out at Charles' house in Breezy Point, the hidden beach community in Queens that you would swear you were out in the Hamptons or Jones Beach.

Point is...I need to be active. All this staying indoors stuff is done for me. You can't beat that spring time feeling when work starts slowing down and mellowing out, when happy hours start moving outdoors and when you can start driving with the windows down and the music blasting. Man, I can't wait.

What's got me in the awesome mood? No clue. Just excited because I'm pretty much booked up every weekend for the next few months... Something memorable to look forward to every week.
